| During Buddha’s time, one of the Buddha's most famous lay disciples Anathapindika (Sudatta) use gold to cover the ground at a pleasure park about one kilometre south-west from the walls of Savatthi owned by Prince Jeta, for the Lord Buddha to spread His Teaching. This capsule has played an important role in Buddhism and this is also where in most of the Sutra there is a phrase indicated “Jeta's Grove (Jetavana)”.
In this world, many craved for money, precious items, gold, diamonds etc. However, if we can use the gold to offer to the Lord Buddha, will help eliminate our greed, craving and bad karma.
The Buddha Tooth Relic Chamber which is located on the fourth storey of Buddha Tooth Relic Temple (Singapore) will also be using “Gold Floor Tiles” to venerate the Lord Buddha. We hope to receive your kind support to accomplish this magnificent achievement together.
