According to the Teachings, by offering and chanting of this Sutra, inconceivable amount of merits and realization could be acquired. As mentioned in the Sutra, “and if there were sentient beings, because of their heavy bad karma, suffering from many illnesses and experiencing great mental pain, by chanting of this sacred mantra for twenty-one times, all illnesses and mental pain will be immediately dispelled, one’s life prolonged and one will gain limitless blessings.” It is also stated in the Sutra that, ‘’ a person arriving at the site of the Treasure Casket Seal Stupa or the Dharma Wheel of the Sutra, by offering even a stalk of flower or a stick of incense, prostrating before them respectfully, or circumambulating the Stupa or the Dharma Wheel from the right, the merits created from these actions, will be the cause of attaining high position, gaining of fame, longevity and wealth unexpectedly; defeating enemies, robbers or thieves without confrontation; protection from the effect of others’ evil intents and curses; escaping epidemic and evil influence naturally; marrying a good husband or wife without searching; giving birth to sons with worthy nature and beautiful daughters without praying for one; all wishes fulfilled with great satisfaction.”
